What happens in the clip
A small, impish man stands in a wooden barn at night, lit by warm amber light with deep shadows and film grain. He bends his knees, raises a finger to his lips for a “shh”, flashes a sly grin, then spreads his arms and tiptoes toward the camera in tiny exaggerated steps. The whole moment lasts around ten seconds.
People compare the figure to Rumpelstiltskin, the straw-spinning imp from the Grimm fairy tale, which is why the meme is also called the Rumpelstiltskin AI trend.
Where it came from: AI, not a 1987 movie
Because the clip looks like a practical-effects fantasy film, many viewers assumed it was cut from a 1987 adaptation or an old European film. It is not. It is an AI-generated short made to look like 1980s cinema, first shared on Instagram in late summer 2026 and picked up on TikTok and X in the autumn. Reports differ on who made the original, so we do not name a creator here.
Why the song is in the name
On TikTok the clip is usually paired with “Tip Toe Wing In My Jawwdinz” by RiFF RAFF, a 2014 track whose title is the playful spelling of the trend’s name. That is where “tiptoeing in my Jordans” comes from. The phrase names a song and a meme; it has nothing to do with any sneaker brand, and this site is not affiliated with Nike, Jordan Brand or RiFF RAFF.
What changes in an AI version?
A photograph becomes the visual reference for a new dancer. A reference-to-video model follows a separate, original barn sequence — our own fictional character, set and lighting — and tries to keep the person’s appearance consistent while they shush and tiptoe.
We do not use the viral clip itself, a movie character’s design or anyone’s real footage. The home-page example is a real output of this service, made from the photo of an AI-generated fictional adult.
Solo and two-person versions
The classic version is one dancer. Some creators also post a two-person version where one person tiptoes while another sits and stares in surprise. Tiptoe Trend AI currently makes the solo version from one photo.

Questions, answered.
Is the original clip from a 1987 movie?
No. The viral clip of a mischievous little man tiptoeing through a barn is an AI-generated short made in the style of an 1980s fantasy film. It is not a scene from any movie. This site does not use that clip: it uses its own original barn scene and character as the motion reference.
Does the video include the song?
No. Downloads are silent. The trend is usually posted with “Tip Toe Wing In My Jawwdinz” by RiFF RAFF; add it, or any other sound, from the licensed music library inside TikTok or Instagram Reels. Available sounds depend on your account and region.
Which AI model makes the video?
Videos are generated with Wan 3.0 Reference-to-Video, Alibaba’s video model, run on fal.ai. It follows our original fictional barn reference clip and redraws the dancer from your photo; a failed job is retried once automatically. Photo safety review uses Google Gemini 2.5 Flash, and the scene description is checked by Waffo Prompt Sift. Both video modes produce the same 10-second format.
